Srinagar, Oct 16: Afaq Shafi, a talented youth from Srinagar’s Shalimar, has left the audience and judges spellbound with his sensational singing on the reality show ‘Indian Idol.’
The young singing sensation’s incredible journey on the show has now led him to earn a coveted spot among the top 14 contestants.
Afaq has consistently wowed the nation with his melodious voice and exceptional performances throughout the competition.
His ability to connect with both the audience and the judges has been nothing short of extraordinary, making him a standout contestant on the show.
“I have been singing since childhood, and no one has taught me. All I learned is from social media and YouTube. I didn’t have exposure to how to sing and where to sing, and I got chances to showcase my talent through social media. For my success, I would like to give special credit to my father, who was always there for me,” Afaq said.
“Before reaching the Indian Idol auditions, I had given many auditions, and I told them I hadn’t learned anywhere and I would sing without a band. The judges appreciated me and said I had to sing with a band and music. Alhamdulillah, I performed well,” he added.
Afaq’s versatile singing style and heartfelt renditions have garnered him a massive fan following and appreciation from the music industry luminaries and all walks of life in Jammu and Kashmir.
