Srinagar, Oct 23: The government on Monday said that the enhanced winter preparations have been made this year to ensure uninterrupted services to the people across the Valley.
Talking to the reporters, Advisor Bhatnagar said that the winter preparations are underway and will be completed ahead of the upcoming winter.
“We have significantly increased our capacity for dealing with snow clearance and a considerable amount of new machinery and equipment has been procured,” he said.
“Just like last year, there has been a lot of improvement. However, this year, we are fully prepared for the winter season. As far as winter preparation is concerned, we are also equipping ourselves for power scenarios, emergency services, disaster management, and stocking wherever necessary,” he said.
“This work will be completed on time and we are committed to ensuring that all civic services including health and other services remain available during winter,” said the Advisor.
