Pattan, Oct 31: A road stretch from Palhallan to Wussan in Pattan is giving a tough experience to commuters due to its sheer neglect from the authorities.
The residents complained about bad and dilapidated conditions of a vital link road connecting several Baramulla villages with the neighbouring Bandipora district.
“We were assured several times of repair, however, nothing significant was witnessed on the ground level. It seems the authorities are playing with our sentiments,” they added.
The dilapidated road conditions not only give tough times to the commuters, but also hinders traffic movement. “The tattered road is consuming a lot of time to travel from one place to another via this route, besides the vehicles have suffered extensive damages,” said a university bus driver, who travels via the same route.
They urged the authorities to repair the road at the earliest.
