Srinagar, Nov 4: In a bid to attract more visitors towards the world famous Dal Lake, the Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) has come up with a ‘Sunset Park’ along the water body here with the concerned authorities saying that the project has been completed in a record time of two and half months only.
The world famous Dal Lake is witnessing a massive footfall of tourists throughout the year while many visitors were seen clicking pictures and witnessing the sunset on the embankment of the water body here.
CEO, SSCL, Athar Aamir Khan said that in the congested area, a good space of land was identified recently where the sunset park has come up with the Smart City project.
“It is the only place where a good space is available and can accommodate a large chunk of people in one go,” he said, adding that the people were seen witnessing the sunset and clicking pictures following which it was decided that a sunset park will be constructed at the place to provide a space to the people so that they can have a good time on the banks of Dal Lake and enjoy there.
“The park has been constructed in a record time of two and a half months,” he said, adding that more facilities are being made available for the visitors at the spot.
“We have already identified a land while as the work has been started to provide a parking space for the visitors so that the traffic movement is not hampered,” he said, adding that the park will attract more visitors towards the Dal Lake.
