Srinagar, Nov 10: Residents of Natipora, Gopalpora, Dalgate, Sonwar, Khanyar and surrounding areas found themselves grappling with the aftermath of rain as the rainwater submerged the streets.
The locals said that the water level rose quickly, transforming the street into pools. “It’s disheartening to see the neighborhood in such a state, as we can’t even move properly from our house because the roads are filled with mud and rain water,” said Zahid Ahmad resident of Natipora.
“The unrelenting downpour, which began yesterday late night and continued through the night, has transformed once-familiar roads into waterlogged thoroughfares, creating significant inconvenience for the local populace,” said Jibran from Sonwar.
Likewise, commuters and residents alike are now faced with the challenge of navigating through flooded streets, as the water levels rise to unprecedented heights.
