Round II of B2V-5 culminates in 51 Gram Panchayats of Bandipora

Bandipora, Nov 11: The second round of phase fifth of the Back to Village (B2V-5) programme culminated on Saturday in 51 Gram Panchayats of Bandipora district, with much enthusiasm and public participation.
The designated Visiting Officers (VOs) along with supporting staff remained stationed at their assigned village panchayats for two days and listened to villagers and prepare Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per the needs of people of the village.
On day second today, Senior Officers of district administration alongwith concerned Officers visited various Gram Panchayats of the district to monitor the proceedings of the ambitious Back to Village programme.
Gram Sabhas were organised in all the 51 Panchayats under phase second of B2V-5 and Visiting Officers participated in these special gram sabhas. Sports kits, soil health cards, artisans registration cards, land passbooks, child care kits and indoor game kits were distributed among the beneficiaries by the Visiting Officers at their respective stations.
The Visiting Officers were seen interacting with members of the Gram Sabha, administering pledges to make our system and society corruption free.
Formulation of GPDP, distribution of land passbooks, inspection of public offices, inspection of works taken up under various CSS, B2V and other schemes, inspection of Amrit Sarovar projects, awareness on Self Employment scheme and feedback on welfare schemes were some of the activities carried out during the second round.
The Visiting Officers documented all the grievances projected during these days and assured public early redressal of their genuine issues and demands.
The resource persons also educated the public about scores of welfare schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
