Entrepreneurship awareness program held at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Nov 17: Division of Vegetable Science, Faculty of Horticulture , SKUAST- Kashmir organised one day Entrepreneurship Awareness program on “Popularisation of Exotic Vegetables to increase Farm income” sponsored by MSME,GoI. The program was conducted at Govt. Degree College Ganderbal.
The Program Coordinator Dr. Syed Berjes Zehra, briefed about the program that aimed to disseminate knowledge and promote best practices in high-value vegetable production, focusing on exotic vegetables potential and possibilities for entrepreneurship development in this sector.
The program encompassed various interactive sessions and informative lectures, all designed to equip the participants withcomprehensive understandng of exotic vegetable farming as a venture. Dr. Aijaz Malik (Resource person) and Dr. Syed Berjes Zehra (Program Coordinator) from division of vegetable science SKUAST-K delivered lectures during different sessions of the program on critical aspects of exotic vegetable crop production like scope, opportunities, marketing, needs, challenges, and entrepreneurship development.
Talking about the program Prof. Fozia Fatima, Principal Govt. Degree college Ganderbal appreciated and congratulated SKUAST-K for organising such programs for young generation aspiring entrepreneurs.
She added that there is a need of such programs for encouraging young educated youth for income generation.
The training coordinator Dr. Syed Berjes Zehra acknowledged the support provided by the MSME, GOI and the Directorate of Project Planning and Monitoring office of SKUAST-K. She also thanked Principal Govt Degree College Ganderbal for their support and coordination.
