The Srinagar Smart City Limited has been achieving a feat in beautifying Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir as four Dal lakefront projects have been inaugurated by the government of Union Territory here on Thursday. The ambitious projects are set to attract the tourists from outside Jammu & Kashmir further, which will help in increasing the livelihood and give a further push to the tourism sector here. Dal Lake Sunset Plaza, Eco Park, Pedestrian walkway and cycling facility are set to enhance the experience of citizens and tourists around the famous water body here. Besides, in the past one year, the SSCL has been moving ahead with the mission of beautifying Srinagar City by coming up with some attractive spots like the first-ever wire-free market, Jhelum Riverfront, renovation of Clock Tower and facelift of the roads and other related things. Several spots are now turning out to be much-visited places in Srinagar where a huge rush of people, especially tourists are thronging and enjoying. To make the spots more attractive, the government has been organizing musical and other events, which has proved fruitful for the local business units as well. According to the website of SSCL, a total of 137 projects are being taken up while 66 have been completed and 71 others are going on. The ongoing projects are expected to beautify Srinagar further and enhance the livelihood opportunity to the unemployed people and give a further push to the tourism boom in Jammu & Kashmir.
