DC presides over Mega Block Diwas program at Bandipora

Bandipora, Dec 6: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad Wednesday presided over a mega block diwas programme held in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Bandipora, emphasizing the commitment to good governance as the primary objective.
The Public Outreach cum Grievance Redressal program was specifically organised for the locals and PRIs of Block Bandipora and Block Arin.
The event was attended by SSP Bandipora Lakshay Sharma, JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad besides a diverse gathering of local residents, Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs), Block Development Council (BDC) members, and various stakeholders.
Various delegations including PRIs, BDCs were present on the occasion. The delegations brought different issues, pertaining to their respective areas, in the notice of district administration. The DC patiently listened to all their demands and issues and said that the district administration is committed to redress all the issues in a time bound manner.
Acknowledging the crucial role of PRIs and BDC, the DC expressed gratitude towards the PRIs and BDC for their unwavering dedication to the betterment of the community.
Recognizing the grassroots-level impact of these institutions, the DC commended their tireless efforts in spearheading developmental projects across the villages of Bandipora.
The DC lauded the concerted efforts of the administrative team and stressed the importance of teamwork in realizing the vision of a prosperous and well-developed Bandipora.
The DC reiterated the commitment to ensuring holistic development in the villages, underscoring the administration’s focus on infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other key sectors.
Dr Owais urged all stakeholders to continue working hand-in-hand, fostering a spirit of collaboration and unity.
