Bandipora, Dec 27: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the status of preparations in view of the ongoing winter season.
While interacting with officers, DC took stock of the preparedness level of different departments regarding winter season and to deal with any disaster and exhorted all concerned to stay prepared.
During the meeting, the DC informed that a disaster management control room is functioning at Mini Secretariat Bandipora with the requisite infrastructure and communication network.
He said the district has enough buffer stock to deal with winter ahead.
Dr. Owais directed the officers to address grievances or problems of the public with priority during any emergency.
The DC asked all officers of the district to work in close coordination to tackle disaster or emergency situations and to remain active and alert to deal with any type of urgent situation.
