Ganderbal, Feb 20: Ubaid Ullah Mir’s remarkable trajectory from a B.Tech Computer Science engineer to the proud owner of Zero Miles – Grill & Cafe’s fifth outlet in Kangan is a testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative power of entrepreneurship.
Born in the locale of Ladhoo Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Ubaid’s educational odyssey commenced at the Muslim Education Institute Pampore, setting the stage for a future steeped in innovation and culinary excellence. In a candid discussion , Ubaid Ullah Mir revealed that his entrepreneurial aspirations were sown in the soil of his childhood, cultivating the dream of becoming an entrepreneur from a tender age.
Notwithstanding the initial skepticism from his family during the inception of his first outlet, Mir stood undeterred. His family members had envisioned a conventional government job for him, yet Ubaid’s unwavering commitment to his entrepreneurial dream remained steadfast. Acknowledging the hurdles encountered in the nascent stages of his entrepreneurial journey, Mir’s unwavering dedication and undeniable success in establishing Zero Miles outlets eventually garnered the steadfast support of his family.
He proudly expressed, “Today, my family takes pride in my journey as the valley’s best entrepreneur, having become a job provider for many unemployed youths.” Furthermore, he acknowledged the pivotal role played by his friends and loved ones, stating that their unwavering support was instrumental in surmounting initial obstacles.
As the proud owner of the Kangan franchise, Mir has not only attained personal fulfillment but has also become a provider of employment opportunities, with ten individuals finding meaningful work at the Kangan outlet alone. Mir attributes a substantial portion of this success to the support he received from friends and loved ones, underscoring the crucial role their encouragement played in overcoming the initial hurdles of entrepreneurship.
The hallmark of Zero Miles – Grill & Cafe lies in its exceptional food quality, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance. Mir passionately emphasizes the dedication of his team, attributing the outlets’ success to the love and energy invested in every culinary creation. This commitment transforms each dining experience into a golden opportunity for both patrons and the team, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who walks through the doors.
Mir’s astute choice of location for the new Kangan outlet reflects his keen understanding of the market. Positioned to cater to both local residents and tourists en route to Sonmarg and Ladakh, the outlet promises to be a culinary haven. Mir envisions this expansion as an opportunity to engage and employ more youth from the valley, contributing positively to the local economy.
With over ten individuals employed at his Kangan outlet, Zero Miles – Grill & Cafe has become a beacon of opportunity for the region’s workforce. Ubaid Ullah Mir’s journey exemplifies the transformative power of entrepreneurship, turning dreams into reality and creating not just a successful business but also a source of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs in Kashmir and beyond. His story resonates as a powerful narrative of resilience, determination, and the unwavering pursuit of one’s dreams against all odds, leaving an indelible mark on the entrepreneurial landscape.
