Srinagar, Mar 6: Bharatiya Janata Party’s J&K president Ravinder Raina on Wednesday said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are eagerly awaiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give him a grand welcome at Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium tomorrow.
Speaking to reporters at the press enclave here, Raina said that more than two lakh people are expected to welcome the Prime Minister on Thursday.
He said 255 blocks of the Union Territory are equipped with big screens for the live telecast of PM Modi’s speech, and Bakshi Stadium will be filled to capacity as people are arriving in large numbers.
“SKICC, Sher-e-Kashmir stadium and other large parks and grounds will be prepared for the live telecast of PM’s speech, as it is set to be a historic rally in the history of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Responding to a query about common people not being allowed to protest in the Srinagar press enclave, the BJP J&K chief said, “Everyone should get their rights, and no one needs to protest anywhere as everyone’s concerns should be addressed and no one should face any problems.”
