The Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir has also admitted the fact by claiming that narco-trade is emerging as a major challenge while police and security forces need to ‘dig the tunnel from both ends’ to deal with the issue effectively. The statement itself speaks the seriousness of the ground situation and shows that the police along with the common masses have to play a key role in this regard to ensure that the youngsters are saved from the evil designs of the anti-national elements. The drug abuse has not only affected the lives of people involved in it, but it has also shattered the dreams of hundreds of families across Jammu and Kashmir. The time calls for a serious and stringent action in this regard and ensure that the narco-trade is put to an immediate end and the youngsters who are subsequently falling prey to the drugs will be saved and protected well on time.
