Forests: The backbone of earth’s ecosystem

The narco-trade has thrown a major challenge to the Police here as it has ruined and devastated the lives of many youngsters so far in Jammu and Kashmir. However, the ground situation is seemingly becoming much worse as more and more people are falling prey to the drugs. The Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir has also admitted the fact by claiming that narco-trade is emerging as a major challenge while police and security forces need to ‘dig the tunnel from both ends’ to deal with the issue effectively. The statement itself speaks the seriousness of the ground situation and shows that the police along with the common masses have to play a key role in this regard to ensure that the youngsters are saved from the evil designs of the anti-national elements. The drug abuse has not only affected the lives of people involved in it, but it has also shattered the dreams of hundreds of families across Jammu and Kashmir. The time calls for a serious and stringent action in this regard and ensure that the narco-trade is put to an immediate end and the youngsters who are subsequently falling prey to the drugs will be saved and protected well on time. The narco-trade needs to be put to an end immediately by joining hands with each other and thereby all the people especially Police, government departments, religious organizations and others should work in unison to defeat the evil designs.
