Srinagar, Apr 4: Devotees from across the region gathered at the shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Dawood (RA) in Batamaloo Srinagar to observe the annual Urs of the revered Sufi saint with fervor and reverence.
The atmosphere was charged with religious fervor as men and women from different walks of life offered prayers and paid homage to the saint known for his teachings of peace, harmony, and spirituality.
The Urs of Hazrat Sheikh Dawood (RA) is observed annually on the anniversary, attracting devotees from far and wide who seek blessings and spiritual solace at his shrine.
Locals expressed joy while saying the Urs of Hazrat Sheikh Dawood (RA) is not just a religious event, but a reminder of the rich spiritual heritage of our region. “It is a time for reflection, prayer, and coming together as a community,” Wahid, a local resident said.
Another devotee expressed his gratitude for being able to participate in the Urs, added it is a blessing to be able to visit the shrine and seek the saint’s blessings. “His teachings continue to inspire and guide us in our lives,” she said.
Moreover, the administration ensured adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Urs, including security measures and facilities for the convenience of pilgrims.
