Chief Secretary reviews preparations for Independence Day celebration

Jammu, Apr 14: The BJP candidate for Jammu-Reasi parliamentary constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma Sunday said that the splendid works of ten years of union government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, have received wide appreciation from all the quarters. He said that both, the Congress and the BJP, had governments of ten years tenure each but the people have been convinced by the latter.
He was addressing a largely attended public gathering at Karwanda in Jammu North assembly segment,
He was accompanied by Bharat Bhushan DDC Chairperson, Omi Khajuria district president, Surinder Kumar BDC, Ajay Sharma district General Secretary, Vandana Thappa, Raman Singh kisan Morcha district president, Amit Singh District secy, and Parshotam Thappa.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that during the last over four to five months, thousands of people have joined BJP in the UT due to the fact that they were inspired by the good governance model of PM Modi and want to contribute in further strengthening it and making easy its victory in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that it is not Jammu and Kashmir only but the entire country, where large joining are taking place almost on daily basis.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have themselves seen the changes taking place here after the abrogation of Article 370 in particular and realized that the continuance of BJP is must for more development and public welfare.
“Modi government won the hearts and faith of the people of Jammu and Kashmir by bringing an end to the decades old proxy war, checking stone pelting, restoring peace and normalcy, creating conducive atmosphere for attracting crores of tourists and holding international events in Valley”, Jugal said and added that the union government want to see J&K moving fast on path of progress and prosperity and they would surely come forward to support BJP for returning its candidate to the Lok Sabha for the third consecutive term.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the Congress leaders, while campaigning for their party candidates have nothing to claim as the achievement of their ten years of rule and are working hard to tarnish the image of the PM and the BJP, but would not succeed as the people are best judge and had very bitter experience of the times when it was Congress heading the government.
Jugal also charged the Congress for not giving due respect and honour to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and further said that the BJP recognized the services of Dr. Ambedkar and constructed memorials at the places linked with the life of Baba Saheb. He said that the BJP declared public holiday and the V.P. Singh government honoured Ambedkar with Bharat Ratna, at the insistence of BJP as it was supporting his government from outside.
