Ramban, May 3: In a significant stride towards bolstering security measures, district Police Ramban under the Command of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Anuj Kumar made functional an advanced AI-Based Facial Recognition System at Navyuga Checking Plaza, Banihal under the jurisdiction of Police Post Jawahar Tunnel Police Station Banihal.
A statement issued reads that this technology is designed to identify and track individuals involved in criminal activities, including terrorists, OGWs, absconders, history sheeters, thieves, and drug peddlers.
“The system’s implementation marks a pivotal step in the region’s commitment to ensuring public safety and combating crime effectively. SSP Ramban emphasized the significance of the AI-based facial recognition system in swiftly detecting and apprehending individuals with a criminal record.
