Blood donation camp held at Sopore

Srinagar, May 8: In a remarkable display of solidarity and community spirit, the blood donors of Sopore came together in a blood donation camp organized on Wednesday.
Hosted at the blood donors of Sopore in association with GMC Baramulla and SDH Sopore, the event witnessed an overwhelming response from volunteers eager to contribute to the noble cause.
The blood donation drive aimed to address the ongoing shortage of blood supplies in the region’s hospitals.
Aqib Ahmad one of the organizers, expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic turnout, emphasizing the critical role of such initiatives in saving lives.
“I’m truly inspired by the selflessness displayed by the people of Sopore,” he remarked. “Their willingness to donate blood will undoubtedly make a significant difference in our ability to provide timely medical care to those in need.”
Volunteers from various age groups and backgrounds including women queued up throughout the day, demonstrating unwavering support for the cause.
Gh Rasool , who hailed the event as a testament to the community’s resilience and compassion.
“It’s heartening to see everyone coming together for this noble cause,” he said as he rolled up his sleeve to donate blood.
“In times of need, it’s our duty to support each other, and today, Sopore has truly shown its heart.”
Local authorities praised the organizers for their proactive efforts in addressing the blood shortage, highlighting the importance of community-driven initiatives in supplementing government healthcare services.
The success of the blood donation camp in Sopore serves as a shining example of the power of collective action and altruism, demonstrating that even in challenging times, unity and compassion prevail.
That sounds like a great initiative! Blood donation camps are crucial for ensuring a steady supply of blood for those in need. It’s heartening to see communities coming together for such a noble cause.
The people of Sopore and there adjoining areas voluntarily donated record of 154 Blood Units including females. Different teams of Doctors and paramedics from GMC Baramulla and SDH Sopore provided all the support required for blood donation activities and the administration of Darul ul uloom Mahrajpora provided us enough space for the same.
A light refreshment was also offered to donors for their well being by Mr. Jibran Khan (Founder & CEO Zero Miles – Grill & Cafe) Meanwhile the guests of the event were ADC sopore and Tehsildar Sopore.
Sopore Blood Donors are saving the lives of people since 2017 under the Guidance of its Founder (Inaam Fasil ),Co-Founder (Aaqib Nazir )and other team members ).
