Kashmir can’t afford to ignore earthquake risk

The moral test of power

The tourists who had come to Kashmir to enjoy the joyous moment of their life have got the wounds, which they will never ever forget in their life. Kashmir’s hospitality is known throughout the globe, but such attacks are pushing the valley to the back stage again where the people from across the globe have been visiting and simultaneously helping the poor section of the society here to earn the bread and butter for their families. However, the attack that has been witnessed Saturday evening in Yannar area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has left a couple from Rajasthan wounded, but this attack is certainly not on the couple but on the whole humanity for which the people of Kashmir were known for. The people visiting Kashmir from outside states and countries don’t only enjoy their life here but they also are the main source of earning for thousands of families here. From ponywala to shikarawalas, everyone is dependent on the flow of tourists, but such attacks at the same time are not only putting a question mark over the hospitality of Kashmiris but also pushing thousands of people, who are associated with the tourism sector and their families, towards starvation. Such attacks should be condemned by one and all so that the society is ready to welcome the tourists always and also the families dependent on the tourism sector would not face difficulties as witnessed in the past as well.
