Handwara, May 20: People’s Conference chairman Sajad Gani Lone Monday said that it will erase the concept of lodging FIR and police verification culture if voted to power.
Lone said this during the sidelines after casting his vote.
“If voted to power, I promise to erase the FIR and police verification culture that is affecting our youth,” he said, adding that the issue was one of the main motives of PC.
On asking about the massive turnout at many places in Kupwara and Baramulla, Lone said people have been voting here from very beginning.
“We have 12 constituencies in the area and it is always good to see people voting in huge number, he said
In the meantime, National Conference (NC) senior leader Chowdary Mohammad Ramzan Monday after casting his vote said that the aim to participate in elections was to defeat the proxies of those in power at centre.
Chowdary on the sidelines of the polling station said, “In the year 2019, our identity was snatched and the valley of Kashmir was divided.”
He said, “Our first time voters are voting against the central ruling party at center.”
Chowdary further said, “In Kashmir people want an optimal change and this time people are voting against the proxies of those who are in power at centre.” (KNO)
