A ray of hope

The shortage of textbooks even after the elapse of two months has left thousands of students in a state of academic limbo. However, the authorities seem unmoved over the issue, which jeopardizes the educational career of the students. The severe shortage has affected the educational process, raising concerns among parents, educators, and students alike. The dearth of textbooks has created chaos and confusion in schools given the inordinate delay in receiving a complete set of textbooks, the media report says. The students enrolled in both private and government schools are suffering alike as the administration has directed the educational institutions to adopt the BOSE-prescribed textbooks for all classes. One fails to understand why the government has issued such orders at a time when it has seemingly failed to ensure the availability of the textbooks for the students. The absence of textbooks from the markets has come under severe criticism with the parents and students, alleging it to be a reason for immense hardships, as the issue has impacted their education badly. Two months of the crucial academic session have elapsed, but the issue continues to push the students to the wall, which should be addressed at an earliest with an aim to ensure that the educational career of the students is not put at stake. There is a need to take measures in this regard so that the students can continue their academics without any difficulties. The textbooks must be made available at the shortest possible time for the well being of the students.
