PDP and the politics of deception: Kashmir cannot be fooled again

Amidst the congestion of the roads in Srinagar areas, the construction of the new flyovers in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir is paving a way for the decongestion with the commuters heaving a sigh of relief. After hectic efforts by the authorities, the much-awaited Bemina bypass flyover has been thrown open for the public, marking a significant milestone in the region’s infrastructure development. The first vehicle passed through the newly constructed flyover, providing immediate relief to commuters in Srinagar. The completion of this project is expected to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity in the area. The people have been showering praises on the administration for making alternatives in order to decongest the traffic on the roads amidst the rise in the number of the vehicles on the roads. Some of the similar projects including Sanant Nagar and Nowgam flyovers are coming up and are presently under construction. The completion of these projects will ensure further relief to the commuters on the roads. These alternatives are imperative at this juncture as the roads across Srinagar usually witness traffic congestion on a regular basis, pushing the commuters and the passengers to the wall. Amidst the sufferings of the people, these projects play a key role in Srinagar. Therefore, the government needs to ensure that the work is completed at a shortest possible time so that the commuters could heave a sigh of relief as these projects will put an end to the regular traffic congestion on the roads.
