DSEK asks 7 CEOs to explain positions after failing to submit requisite info

Srinagar, Jul 8: Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has said that seven Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the region had failed to submit requisite information sought by the directorate.
The Directorate further said that it had reminded the CEOs a couple of times to submit the information.
However, the CEOs after failing to submit the information, DSEK asked them to explain their position as to why disciplinary proceedings as warranted under rules shall not be initiated against them for non-submission of requisite information and submission of incomplete information.
DSEK in order shot to CEOs said, “They were asked to furnish final and updated seniority list of teachers with relevant set of certificates and vacancy position of masters on the devised format, besides complete personal files of teachers falling under consideration zone for promotion.”
DSEK said that while issuing meeting notice for conduct of Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee meeting, it was once again re-iterated to submit the above information by or before for its placement before the committee.
“In view of the non-submission of information from your end, this office issued two more reminders but you again failed to submit the complete information to DSEK,” it reads.
The directorate further said that a preliminary meeting of the Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee was held in the office Chambers of DSEK and the information awaited from the concerned CEOs could not be presented before the committee.
“The serious displeasure over the Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee showed non-submission of information/submission of incomplete information by you which has held up the entire process of promotion of eligible trained graduate, post-Graduate teachers as Masters, resulting in demoralisation of entire teaching consideration in particular community at large,” DSEK said.
It said, “In view of the matter, the concerned CEOs are directed to show cause as to why disciplinary proceedings as warranted under rules shall not be initiated against you for non-submission of requisite information and submission of incomplete information and your reply shall reach DSEK within a period of five days, failing which it shall be presumed that you have nothing to say in your defence, and action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against you.”
