Budgam, Jul 9: Dilapidated condition of several roads in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district has left the commuters anguished, who have appealed to the concerned department to fulfill their demands at an earliest.
The residents of the area said that the roads in their locality are in dilapidated conditions as the stretches have not been repaired since long.
“We took to the streets a number of times to press for our demands but all in vain as the concerned failed to take any step in this regard,” the locals said, adding that they also approached the concerned authorities several times in the past but no steps were taken to redress their demands.
“We later apprised R&B department about the bad condition of these roads as well but nothing has been done in this regard,” they said.
The condition of roads like Chadoora- Bugam-Kuzwera, Hanjura-Dadaompora in the district which according to locals has not been repaired for a long time now, is quite similar.
The locals later appealed the concerned authorities to take steps to macadamize the roads so that they could heave a sigh of relief.
