CBC organizes two day photo exhibition on Kargil Vijay Diwas at Srinagar

Srinagar, Jul 26: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office Srinagar, today organized an Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme cum Photo Exhibition to mark the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The two day exhibition, inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, is being held at Kendriya Vidyalaya Batwara in Srinagar. The exhibition aims to highlight the valour and patriotism of soldiers during the Kargil war in 1999.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat emphasized that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a testament to the bravery of Indian soldiers and the nation’s unity in ensuring victory during the war. He noted the importance of such exhibitions in fostering patriotism and unity among the younger generation and urged the audience to remember the sacrifices of soldiers and commit to the nation’s progress. The Deputy Commissioner, along with Field Publicity Officers Naseer Ahmad Rather and Shahid Mohammad Lone, inspected the photo exhibition, showcasing the struggle, achievements, valour and sacrifices of the Indian Soldiers during the Kargil War.
Field Publicity Officer, CBC Srinagar Naseer Ahmad Rather highlighted that this exhibition is part of nationwide exhibitions being held by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to honor the bravery and sacrifices of soldiers who fought valiantly and reclaimed all locations occupied by the Pakistani Army and intruders during the Kargil war in 1999.
A large number of students and other visitors participated in the programme. Resource persons from various agencies and schools delivered lectures on the Kargil War during the exhibition. An open quiz competition was also held for the participants, who were awarded mementoes and certificates. The cultural artists empanelled with CBC Srinagar presented colorful performances on patriotism and unity. The exhibition will continue on Saturday, providing an opportunity for more visitors to engage with this significant historical event.
