Srinagar, Aug 12: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi on Monday ordered his men to adhere to proper and same pattern of uniform.
In an order, the IGP said that it has been observed that police officers and personnel wear different patterns of uniform, which the IGP said is against the uniform pattern of the police department even as it presents a bad image.
This, the IGP said has been viewed seriously by the senior officers of the department and needs to be shunned.
Following this, the IGP has ordered all the supervisors to maintain a strict discipline among their men to wear proper uniform.
Any deviation into the matter shall be taken seriously, read an order by the IGP.
