Congestion of roads must end

While efforts are being made to streamline the traffic in Srinagar and elsewhere in the Valley, the commuters continue to face tough times in the congested areas, especially at the places falling in the City areas. The congestion in the interiors of Srinagar is known to one and all but unfortunately the illegal car parking at the roadsides here are further exaggerating the difficulties of the commuters, who are being forced to face hardships whenever they travel through these roads. The potholed roads are one of among the causes of difficulties to the commuters, but the congestion in these areas is further leaving them to lurch at large. Several places in the interiors of the City have been redesigned, which attracts more and more people towards these spots, but one fails to understand when the grave issue of congestion will be addressed. There is a dire need to relocate the shops and some residential houses so that the people in these areas will not face any hardships while travelling through these roads. The development of places is pivotal, but the better condition of roads and end to the congestion of these roads is equally important, which needs to be addressed at a shortest possible time. The concerned authorities need to look into the matter at an earliest so that the sufferings of the commuters, especially the local residents here will be put to an immediate end. The hassle free movement to the travellers must be ensured at the shortest possible time so that the people here could heave a sigh of relief.
