Kupwara, Aug 19: In a bear attack in the Haril Mewar village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, a 65-year-old man was seriously injured.
Muhammad Abdullah Var, a resident of the village, was attacked by a bear while working in a field.
According to eyewitnesses, the bear suddenly appeared in the field and charged at Var, causing severe injuries. The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of his injuries, Var has been shifted to a specialized hospital for further care. His condition is reported to be stable, but he remains under close medical supervision. [KNT]
