Srinagar, Aug 19: Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Chief, Hakim Yasin has demanded the implementation of Article 371 in Jammu and Kashmir, stressing the need to safeguard the land and job rights of the people.
Talking to reporters in Khag area of Budgam, Hakim Yasin highlighted the rights deprivation faced by the people of J&K since 2019.
Yasin emphasized that only the Parliament can restore Article 370, and politicians promising its revival are misleading the public. He also criticized the Delimitation Commission, calling its recent decisions an attack on the people, aimed at widening the gap between them.
Citing the example of Khag being merged with Khansahab, 40 kilometers away, Yasin termed the move unfair and anti-people. He appealed to the representatives to be elected by the people to prioritize the rights and concerns of the public, providing relief to those affected since the abrogation of special status in 2019.
