DEO B’la visits 12-Wagoora Kreeri AC to ensure AMFs at polling stations

Baramulla, Aug 29: In view of the Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the District Election Officer (DEO) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa Thursday visited 12-Wagoora Kreeri Assembly Constituency and conducted a comprehensive inspection of various polling stations.
The DEO was accompanied by the RO 12-Wagoora Kreeri, Ibad-ur-Rehman, and other concerned officers during the visit.
The visit aimed to ensure that all polling stations in the AC have all the Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) available as per the Election Commission of India’s guidelines. During the inspection, the DEO meticulously evaluated the infrastructure and amenities at various polling stations, including Wagoora, Hygam, Choora, Hamre, Kreeri, and others, to guarantee a smooth and efficient voting process for all citizens.
The comprehensive inspection encompassed vital aspects such as accessibility, ramps for voters with disabilities, proper sanitation facilities, availability of drinking water, electricity supply, and other facilities for polling staff and the voters.
During the visit, Minga Sherpa expressed his satisfaction regarding the arrangements put in place by the district administration, commended the efforts of all stakeholders involved in the preparations, and urged continued cooperation to ensure the success of this electoral exercise.
Meanwhile, Minga Sherpa also reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to upholding the principles of democracy and to ensuring a conducive environment for conducting free, fair, and transparent elections.
Later, the DEO conducted a detailed inspection of the Office of the Returning Officer for 12-Wagoora Kreeri AC, located in Delina at the North Campus of Kashmir University, where he evaluated all the available facilities and ensured they were fully prepared for the upcoming Assembly Elections.
