With the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir just two weeks away, the political parties in the Union Territory have not yet organized any major rally to woo the voters with the political podiums remaining busy in finalizing the candidates for the three-phased polls. The regional as well as the national parties have not organized any major political rally here in Jammu and Kashmir, indicating a tough time for the parties in finalizing their candidates for the polls. The process of finalizing the candidates has left many leaders unsatisfied, who subsequently switched to other parties to get the mandate. Dozens of political leaders in Jammu and Kashmir have so far announced their resignations from their respective parties and joining in other parties as well, where they secured the mandate for the upcoming assembly elections. The finalizing of candidates seems a hectic process for the political parties here and simultaneously couldn’t organize the rallies in Jammu and Kashmir to woo the voters. However, the delay in organizing the rallies and other programmes would cause a dent to the candidates contesting elections in Jammu and Kashmir. There are several candidates who are fighting for the first time and amidst the delay in organizing the rallies, would affect their faith amongst the people. It would be interesting to see the parties wooing their voters to cast their ballots in their favour as the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are being conducted after the gap of nearly ten years. Therefore, organizing the major rallies especially by the star campaigners will play a key role at this juncture for the respective parties in Jammu and Kashmir.
