Baramulla, Sep 26: JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra emphasized the importance of informed voting in the upcoming elections. He urged the citizens of Baramulla to exercise their electoral power wisely, highlighting the BJP government’s attempts to experiment with policies in North Kashmir.
Karra asserted that the people of north Kashmir hold a significant responsibility, referencing the strong opposition shown to BJP policies in previous election phases. “Now is the time for the residents of North Kashmir to unite against divisive forces and challenge the misleading claims of development put forth by the current administration,” he stated.
He underscored the historic implications of the upcoming elections, warning that the choices made now will influence the region for the next century. “The entire Jammu and Kashmir is looking to north Kashmir for leadership and direction in securing our future,” Karra remarked.
Additionally, Karra pointed out the BJP’s realization that a direct contest in Kashmir would not yield favourable results, as evidenced by their struggles in the DDC, BDC, and Lok Sabha elections. “The situation is clear: the people across Jammu and Kashmir are prepared to vote strategically for Alliance candidates, keeping the future of J&K in mind,” he declared.
He stressed the vital role north Kashmir must play in shaping J&K’s destiny, encouraging the populace to assume the role of leaders. “It is now up to you, the people of north Kashmir, to affirm the mandate established in the first and second phases of voting, where the preference has been for alliance candidates over divisive politics.”
He also termed Mir Iqbal, Congress candidate for Baramulla as dynamic leader who has always worked for the betterment of the people.
