In the ensuing operations, two terrorists were killed. One at Bandipora and another at Kupwara, while arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists.
“We recovered an M4 rifle from the killed terrorist in Bandipora, and an AK series rifle from slain foreigner at Lolab Kupwara”, officials said.
“The operation has successfully concluded, resulting in elimination of one terrorist and recovery of 01 AK rifle, 02 Hand Grenades, 4 AK magazines, ambition and other war-like stores,” Indian Army – Chinar Corps posted on X.
Chinar Corps remains steadfast in its commitment to keep Kashmir terror free, the post added.
Regarding Bandipora operations, the Army said that “One terrorist has been eliminated by the security forces”.
It’s noteworthy, that on earlier on November 01, a brief exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces at Panar forest area of Bandipora, however, terrorists managed to flee from the scene, which was followed by the large-scale combing operation by joint teams of security forces..
“A suspicious movement was detected in the general area of Panar, which was challenged, resulting in indiscriminate fire from the suspected terrorists, who then fled into the nearby jungle”, officials had earlier said. (KNO)
