Srinagar, Nov 7: Six opposition lawmakers from Kashmir on Thursday submitted a fresh resolution condemning all August 5, 2019 changes.
Sajad handed over copy of the joint resolution signed by PDP, PC and AIP to the marshals requesting them to submit the same to the Speaker of the House Abdur Rahim Rather.
Amid commotion in the House, Lone, Waheed-Ur Rehman Parra, Mir Muhammad Fayaz and Sheikh Khursheed waved copies of the resolution brought by them.
The resolution condemns the abrogation of Article 370, Article 35A along with the enactment of Reorganisation Act-2019, in the strongest terms.
The resolution demands immediate restoration of Article 370, Article 35A in their original, unaltered form, and reversal of all changes brought in by J&K Reorganisation Act.
Amid ruckus in the House, Lone said that there was a fixed- match between NC and BJP.
“They have decided not to allow anyone to speak and resort to ruckus,” he said.
Later, talking to reporters, Lone said they said they are seeking a clear-cut and unambiguous resolution rejecting all August 5 changes and restoration of Article 370, Article 35A.
Earlier, the Assembly witnessed pandemonium as BJP MLAs continued to demand withdrawal of the resolution passed in the House yesterday. They refused to take their seats despite repeated requests from the Speaker, prompting him to adjourn the House. (KNO)
