Srinagar, Nov 8: Independent MLA from Surankote Assembly Segment of Poonch district, Choudary Muhammad Akram, has appealed to the government to construct a tunnel on the Mughal Road, highlighting its frequent closures during winter due to snowfall. Akram said that a tunnel would greatly benefit the people, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and accessibility.
Akram while speaking in the Assembly stressed that Mughal Road’s constant closures cause significant hardships for locals and travelers alike. He argued that a tunnel would not only facilitate smoother transportation but also boost economic development in the region.
