Srinagar, Nov 9: As part of efforts to curb the drug menace in Srinagar city, police on Saturday arrested a 27-year-old woman between Gangbugh and Khumani Chowk, while carrying about 3.65 grams of heroin, officials said.
An official said that acting on specific intelligence, the police from Tengpora—Batamaloo intercepted a 27-year-old woman in the Bund area between Gangbugh and Khumani Chowk.
He said that during the search, they recovered 3.65 grams of heroin from her possession. “Investigations have been initiated, and further actions as per legal proceedings have been taken up,” he said. (KNO)
