There were some actions earlier by the concerned department, but unfortunately, the issue continues to persist as the drive launched against the illegal occupation of the roadsides outside the hospitals didn’t continue for unknown reasons. A huge rush of people could be seen outside the hospitals, especially at SMHS hospital here where the street vendors occupy a huge chunk of the roadsides and the people keep the roads busy while buying the essentials. Such an issue needs to be addressed at the shortest possible time. A massive drive in this regard is the need of the hour and the traffic department must gear up to ensure that the roadsides outside the hospitals are not occupied to bring respite to the people visiting these health facilities.
