J&K’s MSME sector sparks economic growth

During the beginning of the academic session in Jammu and Kashmir earlier this year, the students had to face tremendous hardships as the books were not being distributed amongst them for a longer period. However, the newly elected government in Jammu and Kashmir soon after reverting to the November-December academic session has promised that the students of government schools will receive free textbooks immediately after the culmination of annual exams. Such an announcement has brought cheer among the parents and would simultaneously help in ensuring no academic losses to the students. The Minister for Education, Sakeena Masood Itoo has made it clear that there will be no delay in distributing the textbooks to students, saying that when the academic session for the students up to 9th standard was changed, it was already instructed to the concerned authorities to make availability of textbooks immediately after the exams are over. The academics of the students in government schools has been badly hit in previous years as the students enrolled in these institutions usually receive free textbooks very late even after commencement of new academic sessions. In 2023, the department couldn’t deliver free textbooks despite the passage of around two months since the new academic session started in schools. The delay in distribution of the textbooks in schools had previously left the students at the receiving end as the department has failed to distribute the textbooks in schools on time. This time, a new hope was generated among the masses after the government’s clear directions, which would help the students to prepare for the next classes without any delay and also ensure no academic losses to the students.
