Anantnag, Nov 29: Three Industrial Units were gutted in a fire incident in the Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.
Reports said that smoke emanated from Chinar Agro Industries in the early hours and rapidly spread to adjacent factories. They said that three Units including the one belonging to a migrant entrepreneur were damaged thus inflicting a substantial loss to the owners.
Eyewitnesses said that firefighters faced significant challenges in controlling the flames.
“Three industrial units were gutted in the inferno. We appeal to the government to provide all possible assistance to the victims,” Muzaffar Ahmad, President, Industrial Estate Bijbehara said. [KNT]
