Jammu, Nov 29: Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha on Friday said that security forces have been given a free hand to crush terrorism and destroy the terror eco system in Jammu and Kashmir.
He also said that the nation will forever remain indebted to brave soldiers, who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of unity, integrity, peace and progress.
Addressing a religious event in Pouni in Reasi district of Jammu, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said that development of Jammu and Kashmir is part of National Priority for Narendra Modi but real development is possible only when society is not too concerned about its safety.
“J&K’s development is party of National Priority for Narendra Modi led government and the way J&K maintained pace in development from last 4-5 years it will soon stand in the list of developed states,” Lt Governor said and adding that “We have worked with sincerity and honesty to build a progressive and modern J&K of their dreams.
Lt Governor also said that Pakistan always tried to disturbed the peace and harmony in the Union territory but security forces had been free to crush the terror ecosystem.
“Our neighbour is constantly trying to disturb peace and harmony in J&K but I know the calibre of our Police, CRPF and Army personnel. They have given full freedom to crush the terror ecosystem,” the Lt Governor said. “Security forces are committed to keep the peace intact in J&K.”
He said that the way J&K is progressing and the people cherishing their dreams, time is not far when the place would be counted as the Vikshit regions of the country.
Earlier, Manoj Sinha attended ‘Ati Vishnu Mahayagya’ at Pouni, Reasi and paid homage to martyr soldiers and police personnel. Pujya Sant Bal Yogeshwar Ji Maharaj, the enlightened saint, has been organising this ceremony for many years to recall with pride the great sacrifice of our Jawans. The Yagya, a major religious and cultural event, was organized to seek divine blessings for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Upon his arrival at the Pouni Yagya site, the Lieutenant Governor was warmly welcomed by local officials, religious leaders, and a large number of devotees. Sinha, in his capacity as the head of the Union Territory, took part in the sacred rituals and performed Puja at the Yagya venue.
Speaking to the gathered devotees and community leaders, Manoj Sinha emphasized the importance of religious and spiritual practices in fostering peace and unity among the people of Jammu & Kashmir. He also lauded the role of such spiritual events in nurturing a sense of community, bringing people together, and preserving the rich cultural traditions of the region.
