Trying my best to bring progress in every area: CM

New Delhi, Dec 6: A total of 138 people from Jammu and Kashmir have been evacuated from war-hit countries across the world in the last two years, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh informed on Friday.
the MoS said that of the 138 people evacuated, nine were rescued under Operation Ajay, one under Operation Kaveri, and 128 under Operation Ganga from various war-torn countries, including Ukraine.
The MoS said that the government accords the highest priority to the safety, security, and well-being of Indians abroad, launching evacuation operations in coordination with other stakeholders in the Government of India to safely evacuate stranded nationals.
The government said it maintains constant communication with its counterparts through diplomatic channels to ensure the safety and security of Indians during the evacuation process.
“If necessary, local volunteers from the Indian community are engaged for logistical support. 24/7 control rooms are operated both at headquarters and abroad to facilitate the evacuation,” it added. (KNO)
