Srinagar, Dec 21: The Regional CRPF Wives Welfare Association, Group Centre CRPF Srinagar, in collaboration with the Art of Living, today hosted a meditation session at the GC CRPF campus in Humhama, Srinagar, to mark World Meditation Day.
The one-hour group meditation session was conducted by an Art of Living faculty member Manjeet Singh while DIG GC CRPF Rajesh Kumar, officers, Jawans, and their family members enthusiastically participated in it.
The aim of the session was the introduction of participants to meditation and how it can help diminish stress levels and promote overall mental wellness.
The event also included practical techniques for calming the mind, improving focus, and fostering emotional resilience.
Notably, DIG Rajesh Kumar shared insights, stressing how meditation has been instrumental in managing the challenges of a demanding profession. “Meditation helps us stay calm, focused, and balanced despite the immense challenges we face in our line of duty,” he said.
Manjeet Singh, faculty member, Art of Living, while speaking at the event highlighted meditation importance for soldiers. “Meditation builds inner strength and resilience, essential for our brave soldiers and their families,” he said.
On the occasion, a CRPF officer Ashok Kumar said, “As a soldier, our job often takes a toll on our mental health. This session is like a breath of fresh air.”
Another participant said, “It was a very much-needed experience for all of us.” After this session, I am feeling more relaxed and comfortable.
