Srinagar, Dec 24: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq paid tribute in profound words to the first Khalifa-e-Islam and successor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Hazrat Ameer-ul-Moomineen, Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA), on the occasion of his passing away anniversary.
In a statement, Mirwaiz described Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA) as a great benefactor and teacher of Islam, the Islamic community and humanity as a whole.
“Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA) was a person of immense stature and a distinguished Muslim whose services and sacrifices for Islam, its propagation, its protection were invaluable and unforgettable. He is uniquely honoured that four successive generations of his family were granted the honour and status of being companions of the Prophet (Sahabah),” Mirwaiz said.
Mirwaiz said the best tribute to Hazrat Siddiq-e- Akbar (RA) would be when Muslims around the world deeply reflect on their own lives, actions and conduct in light of his unparalleled loyalty to Islam, its rituals and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
By following the teachings and guidance of Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (RA), they would truly honour him, Mirwaiz said, adding that the great personality of the Prophet’s close companion, Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA), and his unparalleled sacrifices are exemplary and unmatched. “Walking in his footsteps is the key to success and progress in both worlds,” Mirwaiz added.
