Ganderbal, Jan 14: Bharatiya Janata Party’s District President Ganderbal, Mohammad Amin Shah, Tuesday expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visit to Ganderbal on the momentous occasion of the inauguration of the Z-Morh Tunnel. The 6.5-kilometer tunnel, which connects Sonamarg to the rest of the country year-round, is seen as a transformative project for the region’s development and tourism.
In a statement, Mohammad Amin Shah said, “The inauguration of the Z-Morh Tunnel on Monday marked a new chapter in the development of our region, ensuring all-weather connectivity to the picturesque Sonamarg. This project will not only boost tourism but also create employment opportunities, improving the socio-economic conditions of our people.” He further added, “We are deeply indebted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his unwavering commitment to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. His visit to our district underscores the importance of the region and reflects his vision of a prosperous and integrated India.”
The Z-Morh Tunnel, constructed with cutting-edge technology, is expected to revolutionize connectivity in the region, particularly benefiting locals, tourists, and businesses. Shah emphasized that such projects pave the way for the region’s brighter future, fostering peace, progress, and prosperity. Shah concluded his statement by saying, “We assure the Hon’ble Prime Minister that the people of Ganderbal will fully support the government’s initiatives aimed at transforming the region into a hub of development and progress. Together, we will work for a more inclusive and empowered Jammu and Kashmir.”
