Jammu, Feb 2: Apni Party Provincial President Manjit Singh has voiced deep concern over the recent robbery at a jewellery store in the Greater Kailash locality, where armed criminals looted the shop in broad daylight and fled with 1.5 kilograms of gold.
In his statement, Manjit Singh said, “With the rising crime rate in the Jammu city and adjoining areas, the recent robbery a Jewellery store in the Greater Kailash locality has further deepened the sense of insecurity among the masses.”
He added, “Just a couple of weeks ago, armed criminals shot dead a person in broad daylight at Jewel Chowk, Jammu. Theft incidents are also being reported frequently. This situation not only creates a sense of insecurity among the masses but also raises questions about the performance of our law enforcement agencies.”
Manjit Singh urged the police authorities to take immediate steps to restore public faith in the police and other law enforcement agencies.
He said, “I urge the police authorities to ensure that the criminals involved in the recent incidents of robbery, murder, and theft are apprehended and brought to justice. People want to live in peace with a reliable sense of security. Therefore, it is crucial to restore public faith in the police and other law enforcement agencies.”
