Srinagar, Feb 28: In a key development, 14 candidates shortlisted for the positions of Chairman, J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE), and Director, J&K State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT), will appear before the Search Committee on March 5, 2025, at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu.
The J&K School Education Department has issued an official notice regarding the upcoming interaction. “The meeting of the Search Committee, chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department, was held on February 17, during which candidates were shortlisted,” the notice stated.
The following individuals have been selected for consideration for the roles of Chairman JKBOSE and Director JKSCERT:
Prof. Munshi Tehmina Yousuf – Principal, Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Srinagar, Dr. Sunil Gupta – Principal, GDC Basoli, Raj Kumar – Joint Registrar, University of Jammu, Dr. Satinder Kour – Dean, Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Jammu, Dr. Manisha Kohli – Principal, Higher Education Department (HED), Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani – Dean & Head, School Education, Central University of Kashmir
Dr. Shenaz Iqbal Qureshi – Deputy Registrar, IUST, Dr. Twinkle Suri – Principal, GDC Samba, Jahangir Iqbal Tantray – Coordinator & HoD, Persian, Kashmir University, Abid Hussain – Additional Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner Office, Kashmir, Sindu Kapoor – Joint Director, Additionally, two candidates have been shortlisted exclusively for the post of Chairman JKBOSE:, Dr. Jatinder Khajuria – Finance Officer, University of Jammu, Dr. Sudhir Singh – Joint Secretary, JKBOSE
The Search Committee has directed all shortlisted candidates to appear for the final interaction on March 5, 2025, at 12 noon in the Committee Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Main Building, Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
In December 2024, the J&K Government reconstituted the Search Committee to recommend a panel of candidates for these crucial positions. The final selection is expected to play a vital role in shaping the future of the education sector in Jammu and Kashmir. (KINS)
