Jammu, Mar 5: Calling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a “frustrated” party, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary on Wednesday said it is not necessary to respond to every statement of the PDP.
Talking to the reporters here, the Deputy Chief Minister, said, “PDP has become irrelevant as the people have rejected it. We can’t keep on responding to their statements on a daily basis. It just wants to remain in the news.”
He said, “At present J&K is trying to resolve the issues confronting it. The government is putting in every possible effort to make lives easy for the people.”
“The Omar Abdullah led dispensation is trying to do all the works that were not done in the past 10 years. We have just completed 3.5 months in the office and there is still a long way to go.”
Moreover, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the unparliamentary language used against the martyrs of July 13 doesn’t suit at all. He added that the martyrs, no matter which community they belong to, should be respected as they have sacrificed their lives for safeguarding the constitution and the wellbeing of the people.
He also questioned the abrogation of Article 370 and snatching the statehood from J&K. “I want to ask the BJP leaders that if they respected Maharajas then why did they snatch all the safeguards framed by them.”
