Vinod Chandrashekhar Dixit

Addressing the 78th Session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva our PM Narendra Modi has highlighted how the theme of this year’s assembly — “One World for Health” — echoes India’s own vision of “One Earth, One Health”. He also emphasized that the foundation of a healthy world lies in inclusion, an integrated vision, and global cooperation. “The health of the world depends on how well we care for the most vulnerable.
WHO has projected that diabetes will be the 7th leading cause of death in 2030 . It is said that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Hence, to attain a healthy mind and a healthy body, we should eat healthy food. One should keep a check on the lifestyle disorder by modifying food habits, making exercise as part of life, reducing the intake of junk food and adopting relaxation techniques life to keep stress at bay. It is unfortunate that the youths in particular are falling prey to alcoholism and tobacco abuse. Eating healthy allows the body to feel better so that the number of visits to the doctor’s office or far and few between and a better quality of life can be enjoyed. Eating healthy can also prevent certain diseases and illnesses. There is need to organise awareness programmes at educational Institutions on the evils of consumption of alcohol and tobacco. We need to rethink our daily lives — to eat healthily, be physically active and avoid excessive weight gain. Safety in food is also a resultant of the integrity and strictness of those who impose the rules. Healthy Eating The Benefits and Roles on the Body Over time sitting and eating at the table with family has slowly drifted away. Diabetes is a chronic condition in which the body either does not make enough insulin to break down the sugar in foods or uses insulin inefficiently. It can cause early death or serious complications like blindness, stroke, kidney disease, amputation and heart disease. There are many types of eating disorders. The main two types of eating disorders people get from excessive eating is obesity and anorexia. Obesity is a disease of excess fat tissue in the body, or when someone eats too much. There is a tendency to excessive eating of certain kinds of food that contain much fat, sugar and salt. This fact causes many problems. One should eat as much various foods as possible to get all the vitamins and minerals and should drink water, milk and 100% natural juices as the main drinks.
PM also congratulated the World Health Organization (WHO) and its member states on the successful negotiations of the INB Treaty, calling it a milestone in preparing for future pandemics through strengthened global cooperation. The World Health Organisation works to promote and protect public health. We the people with knowledge, experience and information must learn to share what they know with others. Every person should feel responsible for his or her own health. Talking about health is an important but it must be done in a responsible way, particularly when the subject is a sensitive one. PM spoke about Jan Aushadhi Kendras, public pharmacies providing affordable, high-quality medicines, and stressed how India’s digital platforms are revolutionizing healthcare delivery.
There is a need to improve health communication of all kinds and at every level. Doctors possess the knowledge but often underestimate the desire of their patients to be fully informed about their health status and the treatment which they are receiving. No doubt, medicine and science have made a great strides and have undoubtedly contributed to improving the overall health status of most people but it is essential that everyone be conscious of the fact that talking about health means, above all, talking about prevention.
Eating healthy foods and getting plenty of exercise are the two most important things a person can do for their body to maintain a healthy weight. Healthy foods assist a person in enhancing the physical and mental well-being. These foods are full of nourishment and enhance growth. Some of the significant examples of healthy food involve natural food, fiber-rich food, vitamin-rich food, protein-rich food, etc. Health in reproduction is therefore of great important for the well being of families and communities and therefore it has been rightly said that health is not everything but health affects everything. Good nutrition and pleasure that we get from food play big role in health maintaining. Healthy behavior is associated with healthy eating. Health is wealth! Eating healthy food and following a healthy lifestyle can keep us healthy and happy. One should remember “Prevention is better than Cure”.
