Army Chief visits Sunderbani, reviews operational readiness

Jammu, May 30: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Friday visited forward areas and posts in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri District to assess the operational readiness of the units and formations stationed there.
Officials said during the visit, General Dwivedi was briefed by Formation Commanders on the current security situation and operational developments along the Line of Control. The briefing covered the strategic environment in the region and provided an update on the preparedness of the deployed forces.
Interacting with the troops, the Army Chief lauded their performance in “Operation Sindoor” and commended all ranks for their conduct and readiness.
He underlined the need for continued vigilance and preparedness, noting the importance of maintaining agility and responsiveness amid evolving security conditions.

Meanwhile, the Army Chief also felicitated Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari of the Border Security Force (BSF), Jammu, with the Commendation Disc for her role in “Operation Sindoor.”
She led a forward-deployed BSF company during the operation under difficult conditions. (KNO)
