Mela Kheer Bhawani: First batch of devotees arrives in Tulmulla

Ganderbal, Jun 1: The first batch of Mata Kheer Bhawani devotees from Jammu arrived Sunday in Tulmulla, Ganderbal, marking the beginning of the annual pilgrimage to the revered shrine.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jitin Kishore, personally welcomed the pilgrims with flowers, creating a festive and spiritual atmosphere at the temple.
The district administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure the safety, comfort and smooth stay of the pilgrims.
From security deployments to sanitation and healthcare facilities, every detail has been meticulously planned to support the influx of devotees.
“We are committed to providing all necessary support to ensure a peaceful and enriching pilgrimage experience,” said Deputy Commissioner, Jatin Kishore.
“The district administration has worked tirelessly to ensure all arrangements are in place.” he said.
Meanwhile, the pilgrims expressed their joy and gratitude upon arrival. “It feels like home coming,” said Sunita Raina, a devotee from Jammu.
“The welcome and arrangements have touched our hearts. We feel safe and blessed.”
The annual yatra to the Mata Kheer Bhawani temple is a significant religious event for Kashmiri Pandits, drawing thousands of devotees each year to the sacred spring in Tulmulla.
Pertinently, DIG CRPF, SSP Ganderbal, ASP Ganderbal, DC Ganderbal, and other senior officials extended a warm welcome to the devotees arriving for the Mata Kheer Bhawani pilgrimage.
In a gesture of respect and hospitality, the officials greeted the pilgrims with flowers, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere.
Their presence and personal involvement reflected the administration’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and heartfelt experience for all devotees attending the annual yatra. (KNO)
